The Ehlers Group was engaged to offer marketing expertise to the developer in planning the company’s first active adult community on a 107-acre site in Simsbury, Conneticut.Planned in four neighborhoods of villas and single-family homes, Powder Forest, will have 182 New England-themed homes. The community offers an opportunity to meet a pent-up demand for an active adult community in the area.TEG responsibilities included strategic planning meetings, site and area review to determine feasibility and desirability of the location by active adults and review of area competition. A marketing plan, budget and timetable were created. Advertising agency presentations were arranged and overall product review conducted.
During TEG assignment, renewed interest in the community was garnered through a strategic direct mail campaign.
